Sustainable Quality of Life

Sustainable Quality of Life

Fortunately, the concept of sustainability is becoming more widespread in the financial sector. However, there still are no binding standards or standardized methods for determining whether financial assets can be described as sustainable. For Forma Futura, it was clear when the company was being founded that it is important to define one's own, clear measures. For us, to invest sustainably means to promote a sustainable quality of life.

Quality of Life

The decisive criterion is the quality of human life. When we define the quality of life we adhere to the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment. This study, initiated by the UN and involving over 1360 scientists from 95 countries, investigated the consequences of ecosystem changes on the quality of life from 2001 to 2005. According to this study, the quality of life is determined by the following five components:

  • health
  • coverage of basic material needs
  • security
  • good social relationships
  • freedom of choice and action

Sustainable Quality of Life

For Forma Futura, acting responsibly means to improve the current quality of life not at the expense of future generations, but to incorporate the concept of sustainability in all activities. The aim is to create a quality of life that respects the biophysical capacity of the earth to improve and preserve it for future generations. We call this a sustainable quality of life.
