Regenerative agriculture and its contribution to food security
In many countries around the world, people have to fight a daily battle for the supply of basic foodstuffs. Conflicts such as the war in Ukraine lead to a drop in exports of grain and other crops, with globally noticeable effects. For some years now, the issue of a resilient food supply has increasingly come to the fore again. In view of the high greenhouse gas emissions of the agricultural sector, declining water quality due to the use of pesticides, the increase in antibiotic-resistant germs, the loss of biodiversity, soil erosion and much more, the discussion about sustainable solutions for food security is becoming increasingly urgent.
